Marine Wiring and Diesel Engine Workshops in Port Townsend

A chance for commercial fishermen and recreational boaters to learn to safely wire their boats or troubleshoot their diesel engines.
Washington Sea Grant, The Port of Port Townsend and WSU Jefferson County Extension are co-sponsoring two workshops in Port Townsend that will cover essential skills for commercial fishermen and recreational boaters: marine wiring and diesel engine troubleshooting.
The Diesel Engine Troubleshooting workshop will cover troubleshooting and the maintenance of various systems within marine diesel engines, including fuel, lubrication, electrical, cooling and exhaust.
The Marine Wiring workshop is for boat owners who want to upgrade their vessels’ electrical systems. Topics covered include safe wiring practices, selecting wire sizes, circuit breaker and fuse ratings, cable routing and labeling, shore power circuits, battery charging circuits, corrosion protection circuits, engine instrument systems and troubleshooting.
The two workshops are designed to complement each other.

Fee: $80 for one workshop or $120 for both
