Wooden Boat Festival

Port Townsend’s Wooden Boat Festival is the most education-packed and beautifully located wooden boat event in the world. Featuring more than 300 wooden vessels, hundreds of indoor and outdoor presentations and demonstrations, a who’s who of wooden boat experts and thousands of wooden boat enthusiasts, there’s something to do, someone to meet, or a boat to board at every turn. Expanded a little each year, the Festival honors its traditions while inviting energetic debate about the latest innovation. Washington Sea Grant will have TWO  boater outreach booths with materials on safety at sea, boating maintenance,  small oil spill prevention and pumpout education.

Tickets Include: Access to all Festival boats, all daytime presentations and demonstrations, exhibitors, music performance, kids’ activities, and food vendors. A portion of the Wooden Boat Festival ticket sales go to support the year-round programs and events at the Northwest Maritime Center!

One-Day Tickets: $20

Discounted tickets rates are only available at the gate and never sell out: $15 for seniors 65+, students (13-18), and active military personnel with ID. Kids 12 and under get in free.

Multi-Day (Fri-Sun) Tickets: $40

Join us for the R2AK Blazer Party September 8th, 6-8 pm at the Northwest Maritime Center and mix it up with racers and R2AK high command. We’re throwing that finish line party, recognizing the world records that were established, handing out some awards (including the coveted “Dirtbag Award” for those who finished with the cheapest boat), announcing the details for next year’s race, and snacking and toasting.
