Basic Watch Standing
Washington Sea Grant, the Northwest Maritime Center, and WSU Jefferson County Extension are cosponsoring a workshop on Basic Watch Standing. This workshop is for anyone who is interested in working on commercial fishing vessels or has some experience and would like to learn more. Cost is $50. Pre-registration is required. Washington Sea Grant and the Port of Seattle’s Fishermen’s Terminal are cosponsoring a hands-on First Aid at Sea workshops in the Nordby Room, Nordby Bldg, Fishermen’s Terminal in Seattle. These Coast Guard-approved courses for commercial fishermen and recreational boaters cover CPR, patient assessment, hypothermia, cold water survival, near drowning, shock, trauma, burns, fractures, choking, immobilization, and contents for first aid kits. Cost: $100 ($50 for commercial fishermen)
