Washington Sea Grant, the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding, and Washington State University Jefferson County Extension are sponsoring a Marine Wiring Workshop in Port Hadlock. This workshop is for boat owners who want to upgrade their vessels’ electrical systems. Washington Sea Grant and the Port of Bellingham are cosponsoring a Sea Safety and Survival Course (Drill Instructor) for commercial fishermen. This Coast Guard-approved workshop meets the training requirements of the Commercial Fishing Safety Act to conduct drills. Coursework combines lecture and hands-on experience with the safety and survival equipment now required for commercial fishing vessels.
