Dr. Jennie Hoffman has a PhD in marine ecology and has been engaged in the field of climate change adaptation for more than a decade. 2017 Kitsap Beach Naturalist Training
Do you want learn about and explore shorelines and sea life? The Kitsap Peninsula is nearly surrounded by water, making it an amazing place to learn about the sea stars, clams, crabs, birds, bugs and other cool critters, seaweeds, and plants that live on our beaches. We also discuss Salish Sea oceanography and shoreline living, conservation and restoration. This six-week, non-credit training runs April 13 through May 18. SEA Elementary Marine Science Camp
Explore the creatures and stories of the sea! Study orcas and octopus, salmon and sea cucumbers, tiny plankton and towering kelp and marvel at the mysteries beneath the water's surface! Molt Search Volunteer Training (Kitsap County)
Washington Sea Grant and Washington State University Extension have teamed up to launch a new volunteer-based early detection program to complement the existing Crab Team monitoring network.
