Puget Sound Science Graduate Research Fellowship
Offered by WSG and Puget Sound Partnership, the new WSG Puget Sound Science Research Fellowship supports graduate students doing research that advances Puget Sound recovery. Eligible fields include social sciences, environmental sciences and policy, and related sciences at Washington institutions.

2025 NOAA NMFS-Sea Grant Joint Fellowship in Fisheries Science
The NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS)-Sea Grant Joint Fellowship Program in Population and Ecosystem Dynamics and Marine Resource Economics places PhD students studying in one of two priority areas in three-year, research-based fellowships.

NOAA Coastal Management and Digital Coast Fellowships
Coastal Management and Digital Coast Fellows work for two years with state coastal zone programs on projects proposed by the states and selected by NOAA’s Office for Coastal Management. Fellows receive training in coastal management and policy and, in return, the coastal resources program gets technical assistance from students well-versed in the latest advances in coastal science and policy.

2026 Dean John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship
The Knauss Fellowship provides a one-year, paid experience for highly qualified early career professionals to work on issues related to coastal, marine and Great Lakes science and policy in offices within the executive or legislative branches of government in Washington, D.C

FY2025 National Aquaculture Initiative: Strengthening U.S. Coastal, Marine, and Great Lakes Aquaculture Through Business Support
Subject to the availability of funding, Sea Grant anticipates that approximately $5 million in federal funds will be available in fiscal year 2024 and fiscal year 2025 for research projects and programs aimed at strengthening U.S. coastal, marine, and Great Lakes aquaculture through support for developing new aquaculture businesses, as well as enhancing the output, efficiency, and profitability of existing businesses.
