WSG would like to congratulate Michelle Chow, a former John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellow, in her new position as a stormwater and toxics policy manager for the Washington Environmental Council.
As a Knauss Fellow working in D.C., Michelle had the opportunity to gain direct experience in policy that was essential for her new position, allowing her to return to her main area of passion: Puget Sound. The Fellowship helped her “navigate the legislative process, identify opportunities to influence decision-making, and ultimately helped me build my network to land me a natural resource policy job back in Seattle,” Michelle says.
Her new position brings together her passion for environmental justice and access to clean water and coastal resources, and specifically involves policy approaches that reduce stormwater and toxics impacts on water, wildlife and people.
Again, congratulations Michelle! WSG is thrilled about your achievements and contributions to the conservation of our state’s natural resources.
