Read the new issue of our biannual magazine

Catch up on Washington Sea Grant’s (WSG) recent research, outreach and education programs across the state through Sea Star, our biannual magazine.

The summer 2023 issue includes five in-depth feature stories covering a breadth of WSG’s work. This includes an article about the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community building the first known modern-day clam garden in the U.S.; collaborative fisheries research with the Makah Tribe; research on how growing populations of moon jellyfish could affect Puget Sound ecosystems; a recently published book from WSG and University of Washington Press; and an interview with Russell Callender, the former WSG director who recently retired.
