Kayj provides IT support for WSG staff, including client computers, servers and networking/collaborative services. They were contracted to help with custom development of the organization’s website starting in 2014 and have been an essential member of the communications team ever since. Kayj has extensive experience as an application developer, both for third-party content management systems and for custom solutions.

Previously, they were an instructor at the University of Washington, Cornish College of Design and Art Institute of California, where they taught diverse information technology topics including information architecture, web design, user-centered design, usability and interface and interaction design. Kayj also worked for Rockwell International (now Boeing), where they used computer models to analyze loads for the NASA space shuttle.

Kayj holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree, both in General Engineering from Harvey Mudd College. Kayj has lived near and loved the coast their entire life. They got their diving certification at 13 and have enjoyed the waters and the underwater creatures of Catalina, Carmel and Hawaii. In their spare time, they enjoy soccer. They played goalie for the very first Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s varsity soccer team for four years and remain an ardent women’s soccer fan, especially of the OL Reign.
